Job Responsibilities _

Capacity Building


Develop and expand activities that will raise awareness of Hope Not Handcuffs - Hudson Valley throughout the Hudson Valley Region and their Police agencies and the program within the community.

Build brand awareness and cultivate the capacity of the Hope Not Handcuffs - Hudson Valley.

  • Raise Program Awareness
- to build the capacity of local law enforcement and community organizations together to find viable treatment options for individuals seeking help for substance use disorder

  • Maintain volunteer recruitment and management system to support the longterm sustainability of the program
  • Research and identify specific volunteer sources (churches, community colleges, local organizations, and businesses, etc.)
  • Create, document and implement effective program marketing and assist with advertising strategies
  • Research community/departmental events to promote the program
  • Assist in Angel training preparation and presentations for new volunteers
  • Create and implement surveys as needed to identify strengths and weaknesses in training curriculum.
  • Make recommendations for improvement based on survey data
  • Coordinate outreach activities to increase the community's ability to connect with more atrisk community members.
  • Engage in meetings, events, and assist in presentations to targeted groups
  • Plan, coordinate, and initiate representation of the program and conduct outreach at events.
  • Provide community feedback to Program Director on overall program awareness and assist in implementing strategies to improve community engagement.
  • Data and evaluation activities to increase the program's ability to monitor, measure and report on effectiveness and results.
  • Plan, coordinate and initiate fundraising programs and events
  • Establish quantifiable reporting metrics and generate monthly reports.
  • Create process to track and identify if there is a correlation between addon program services (access to peer recovery coaches, family recovery coaches and sober living scholarships) and longterm recovery success (1+ year in sobriety).

Pay:
$43,000.00 per year
