Job Summary:


We now have a great opportunity for the right person as Assistant Service Manager at our very busy Hyundai store.

The right person will be assisting the Service Manager in scheduling work, promoting efficiency and productivity, and keeping customers satisfied.

Your daily responsibilities:


  • You will review vehicle dispatch work to the shop promoting exceptional levels of shop efficiency and productivity.
  • You will assist and overlook the service process and ensure the advisors are consistent in their approach with the customer.
  • You will be responsible for doing all that is necessary for service customer satisfaction creating retention for a positive dealer experience.
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective communication between the shop and parts department employees.
  • You will help manage employee evaluations, schedule training and the development of new technicians creating a healthy, positive work place.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
  • Responsible for taking on whatever duties the service manager assigns.
  • You will have a working understanding of the manufacture warranty guidelines, ensuring all documentation is present to submit claims.
  • You will have a continue focus on how to obtain a positive CSI.

Qualities we're looking for:


  • At least two years of automotive dealership service department experience, preferably as a service dispatcher, and preferably in a union shop.
  • Has fluent handson experience with the Reynolds& Reynolds or CDK dealer management systems.
  • Understands how to effectively load a service shop schedule.
  • Can distribute work to technicians in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Can communicate well with all service, parts, and other dealership employees.
  • Can continually be responsive to the needs and concerns of the service manager and all service personnel.
  • Must pass prehire background, DMV, and drug assessments.
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record and a commitment to being on time.
  • You understand the importance of listening and being empathetic while leading.
  • You have strong workethic with the ability to work in a fastpaced, resultsdriven environment.
  • You have friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "teamplayer" attitude.
  • You are open to constructive feedback to improve your performance and development.
  • Flexible with work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • You have strong computer and multitasking skills, which includes Microsoft Office.
  • You have shown stability in the job industry growing in each position you worked.
  • You have a valid and clean NY state driver's license and pass a drug and background check.
