We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician, for our Manufacturing and Distribution facility in Tolleson, Arizona.

Schedule
:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 am-2:30 pm. Overtime is mínimal but may be required based on business needs.

Our facility is relatively small, but we are very busy and have interesting and exciting projects.

The Plant Maintenance Technician will perform tasks related to preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical machine repairs, inspection and testing of equipment, building maintenance, and specific projects.

Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Reliability.

This is a multi-craft role that requires technical knowledge and expertise in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and welding functions.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain all production machinery and facility equipment by quickly troubleshooting and completing repairs in a safe, good and workmanlike manner.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of equipment preventative maintenance program to optimize operational life of each machine.
  • Observe the operation of equipment and make recommendations for operator training and instructions as required.
  • Recommend additional critical spare parts to ensure that repairs can be completed with limited equipment downtime.
  • Assist in the successful completion of Capital projects from initial proposal to final project implementation.
  • Complete all assigned work orders including routine Preventative Maintenance services on time.
  • Support all continual improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility.
  • Set up and proficiently use drills, saws, grinders, welders, torches, ammeters, multimeters, and other typical maintenance and shop tools and equipment.
  • Efficiently troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facility equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Complete scheduled and assigned work
  • Define, organize and complete tasks with mínimal supervision.
  • Maintain maintenance area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Safely operate pickup truck to retrieve parts or other supplies
  • Locate, read, interpret and execute both facility's and manufacturers' instructions, operation and service manuals, drawings, and other technical information.
  • Provide support to team in the predictive and preventative maintenance program.
  • Participate and actively support all plant initiatives.
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe products that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical requirements:


  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; handle objects, tools, controls and reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Regularly required lifting and/or moving up to 65 pounds.

Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Arizona driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices.
  • Ability and willingness to function as a team member. Willing to learn from, share with, and teach others cooperatively and communicatively.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and maintain production and facility equipment
  • Knowledge and proficient ability in welding, as well as electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Prefer MIG, TIG, and stick welding experience. Certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
  • Able to wire and troubleshoot 120to480volt electrical systems and equipment
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and program PLCs. Training certification is a plus
  • Able to fabricate using shop equipment and hand tools with little direction
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in facility maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and precision
