    Lead Data Engineer at New Relic

    About the Company: New Relic is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join their Data Platform Team remotely. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and maintaining robust data pipelines using technologies like Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.

    What you'll do:

    • Design and develop scalable data pipelines with tools such as Kafka, Fivetran, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.
    • Lead the implementation and maintenance of data platform solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
    • Evaluate and implement best practices for data processes and quality.
    • Optimize data workflows and SQL queries for efficiency.
    • Provide mentorship to junior data engineers.
    • Stay updated on data engineering trends and technologies.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure teams for reliable data solutions.
    • Support SEV-1 Incidents.

    This role requires:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
    • Expertise in Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and SQL.
    • Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud platforms.
    • Strong programming skills in Python.
    • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    Bonus points if you have:

    • Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Kafka.
    • Familiarity with containerization technologies.
    • Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks.
    • Experience with data governance and DevOps principles.
