The Permanent Charge Nurse is designated for a given patient care area to oversee daily operations and to work collaboratively with the Nursing Manager in planning and implementing patient care.
The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing customer service and serving as a role model for staff.The Charge Nurse is responsible for the daily assignment of staff, patient flow and shift to shift decision making regarding staffing.
The Charge Nurse participates with the Nurse Manager in the development of the patient care clinical standards, evaluation of outcomes and development of improvement initiatives.
The Chare Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.Skills:
