To continue this commitment in member service excellence, we are looking for highly motivated and engaging staff to support our outdoor pool activities.


Overview:


The Assistant Aquatics Manager reports directly to the Aquatics Director and works collaboratively with other department managers throughout the club.

While some administrative work is expected, most of the time will be spent at the pool overseeing the duties described.

The schedule will include an orientation in the beginning of the season, alternating mornings and evenings during the week, and extensive work requirements between July 27th - August 10th.


Duties:


  • Responsible for confirming the pool area is maintained and cleaned regularly.
  • Ensures adherence of pool safety program with all staff and members/guests.
  • Ensure that daily opening and closing duties are performed by the aquatics staff to ensure cleanliness, safety and organization of the pool facility and furniture.
  • Interprets and enforces swimming pool rules and regulations.
  • Plans and oversees club pool events to promote the swim programs.
  • Interacts with Club House Manager and Special Events about food and beverage needs for events as needed.
  • Maintains visible presence during peak times of activity.
  • Supports maintenance of pool to assure proper water chemistry and chemical balance.

Skills:


  • Must be able to supervise participants and model safety awareness.
  • Capacity to learn pool maintenance.
  • Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail, ability to multitask.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills.
  • Must be skilled in time management.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
  • Proficient ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred.
  • Must have lifeguard certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
  • Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional Member service.
  • Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word, and Excel
  • Professional appearance appropriate for a premier Country Club

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to work independently while managing the workflow of multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Job Types:
Full-time, Seasonal


Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour
