Pacu Technician - Fort Myers, United States - Naples Suncoast Surgery Center
Description
Assist patients with basic surgery post op and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Required Skills:
- Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred, but not required
- One year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care
- Patient Interviewing skills
- Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Ability to adapt to change quickly
- Able to assist with lifting and moving patients.
- Communicates well with the charge nurse to assure continuity of care Assists with the safe transportation of the patient during discharge
- Good communication skills with coworkers and patients
- Cleaning of stretchers after patients have been moved to step down chair.
- Wipes down equipment at the end of each case.
- Performs and completes assignments with enthusiasm and selfdirection.
- Performs additional functions as assigned by Clinical Manger or Charge Nurse.
