About UFW Foundation: The UFW Foundation has been actively supporting farm workers and their communities nationwide for 18 years. The organization focuses on advocating for fair and just policies, such as immigration reform, hazard pay, and other essential worker protections. It is also the largest federally accredited immigration legal service provider in California with a presence in multiple states.
Summary: Join our team as a Legal Assistant to provide support to attorneys and Department of Justice (DOJ) accredited representatives. Your role will involve assisting in the provision of immigration relief services, representing clients in legal proceedings, conducting outreach activities, and collaborating with other UFW Foundation programs to drive systematic change. Legal Assistants report to lead staff attorney or senior accredited representative.
The incumbent will handle various tasks, including correspondence management, providing clerical support, and assisting in organizing and executing events and activities. Additionally, you will play a key role in delivering immigration legal services to farm workers seeking labor-based deferred action.
