THE OPPORTUNITY


The Parts Operations Manager works closely with the Director, Parts Operations in support of the Director's responsibilities for market share growth, customer retention, and the profitability of corporate-wide parts operations.

This position contributes to the overall performance and profitability of the corporate parts department.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews the parts operating results of each dealership and compares them to established objectives. With input from Director, Parts Operations, takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to achieve results.
  • Creates and documents processes and process improvement strategies.
  • Helps monitor key performance indicators and provides monthly reporting on sales, expenses, and monthly inventory results.
  • Works in tandem with our parts sales and marketing departments to maximize company exposure and competitiveness.
  • Develops and executes long and shortterm marketing plans to ensure profit growth and expansion of dealership products and services.
  • Develops parts merchandising strategies in conjunction with PACCAR/Kenworth and Inland Parts Manager and parts operations stakeholders.
  • Assists in creating effective and costefficient advertising programs.
  • Represents Inland's parts operations with major customers, Kenworth, industry associations, and the public.
  • Provides support as needed to the Director
  • Parts Operations.
  • Becomes familiar with and complies with the company's Health & Safety Manual.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) essential
  • Postsecondary diploma or trades certification in a related field preferred
  • Heavy duty truck technical knowledge and truck parts knowledge
  • Three years related experience and/or training including some supervisor or lead experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
  • Functions well with large volume and fastpaced work environment
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Periodically lift up to 25 kgs or 50 lbs

SALARY
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually plus bonus opportunity.
