    Job Description

    The Swift Group is in search of a Linux Engineer to join a thrilling mission-focused program. The role is based onsite in Herndon, VA and necessitates a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Engineer and deploy Linux Platform-as-a-Service solutions, utilizing expertise in Linux, Ruby, and Python.
    • Automate Linux service delivery processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
    • Analyze and design system requirements for innovative hardware systems and applications.
    • Collaborate with diverse teams to create, implement, and maintain cutting-edge solutions.
    • Utilize systems engineering tools for requirement management and lifecycle support.
    • Stay updated on IT trends and align project efforts with business unit needs.
    • Apply project management approaches to development initiatives and contribute to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles.
    • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture frameworks and principles throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
    • Leverage Digital Twin technology for virtual designs and simulations.
    • Communicate project or program status to senior management regularly.
    • Assist in preparing project teams for program management reviews and technical assessments.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of relevant experience.
    • Proven expertise in engineering and implementing Linux Platform-as-a-Service solutions.
    • Proficiency in Linux, Ruby, and Python for automation and service delivery.
    • Strong background in systems engineering methodologies and tools.
    • Ability to align IT projects with business unit requirements.
    • Experience with project management models and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
    • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and principles.
    • Ability to use Digital Twin technology for design and simulation.
    • Effective communication skills for conveying technical concepts to senior management.
    • HS Diploma.
    • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience in IT system automation, including AI/ML.
    • Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform.
    • Knowledge of SecDevOps and iterative development projects.
    • Experience in cloud design, implementation, and configuration.
    • Familiarity with Agile development principles and various software languages.
    • Bachelors degree.
