We are looking for a software architect to manage technical design and implementation of new products.


The mission of the Enterprise Application Security[EAS] is to protect and defend ADP products from existing and emerging security threats and improve product security posture by integrating and automating security controls early in the product development life cycle and aid uncovering security risks.

It also empowers and support development teams to timely manage and eliminate the security risks.


The EAS team has an opening for a Security Automation Architect to help design, implement, and manage static source code scanning services.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading design, implementation, and maintenance of a large, distributed scanning solution.


Requirements:


  • You'll have a bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
  • More than ten years of experience in software engineering roles, demonstrating increased responsibility for design and and implementation of a product at each role. This experience must include a lead or architect role on one or more significant project implementations.
  • Expertlevel python skills, with a thorough understanding of multiprocessing, multithreading, and distributed models.
  • Expertlevel skills with gitbased source code management systems.
  • Relational database design (SQL).
  • Experience with distributed process automation, including (but not limited to) ETL and complex data processing workflows.
  • Ability to build and maintain OCI (docker) containers.
  • Practical use of cloud architecture, especially using orchestration services such as Kubernetes, docker compose, or ECS.
  • Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI).
  • Thorough understanding of network principles, including routing, firewalls, and proxies.

Desired experience:

  • Understand the difference between CVEs and CWEs, and how to detect and remediate each.
  • Understanding of secure software development frameworks, such as those published by NIST or SLSA.
  • AWS cloud architecture
  • Practical experience with terraform and helm.
  • Use of workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Argo Workflows.
  • Experience with distributed logging and tracing.
  • Experience in nonrelational databases (graph, nosql, etc) is desirable.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
