HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Entry-level position in the Project Management Office (PMO). Roles and responsibilities are a subset of those of a PMO/Project Manager or PMO/Business Analyst within the PMO.

Under direct supervision of a senior PMO staff member, manages a small project, tasks of a larger project, and all production system change order activity for the portfolio assigned.

Typically manages small projects and change orders that are less than three (3) months in duration, have the lowest risk, are without sub-projects, have a well-defined scope, are of limited complexity with one (1) to five (5) project team members, and have a zero-dollar ($0) to fifty thousand-dollar ($50,000) project budget.

Has the primary responsibility to keep the project tasks assigned, and all related processes, moving smoothly along.

Familiar with department and organizational processes, project objectives, and the role and function of each team member, to coordinate the activities assigned effectively.

For small projects and change orders, responsible for all aspects of the project or change order activity over the entire life cycle (plan, execute, monitor/control, and closure).


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY:

Required Education:


Associate degree (or equivalent) in project management, management, business administration, public administration, or systems management required; bachelor's degree in project management, management, business administration, public administration, or systems management preferred.

Human Resources (HR) may substitute experience on a 1:1 basis for the required education. Experience credited in lieu of education will not be applied toward minimum experience requirements.


Required Experience:


  • None required; two (2) years of project experience preferred
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Good communication skills (oral, written, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills)
  • Analytical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment
  • Ability to delegate and assign tasks to appropriate individuals

Required Certification/License/Registry:

None required; Project Management Institute's (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) preferred
