Objective:

To positively impact student achievement at assigned sites through support, training, coaching, mentoring and small group instruction, in order to build school, teacher and student capacity by increasing teachers pedagogical and content knowledge.

The Specialist will take a hands-on approach to improving instruction and effectiveness by working at various levels (classroom-, school-, system-wide) to directly support rigorous standard-based teaching and intervention that is data driven.

The Specialist will support dataa sessions that look at both formative and summative assessment results and suggest and monitor intervention strategies and materials for students struggling with concept acquisition.

This will include working with the Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment to implement a robust student support program (MTSS), analyze students data, model lessons in classrooms, help teachers plan instruction through coaching sessions, and facilitate and lead professional development.

The Specialist will also plan and lead content-based family engagement opportunities.
