    Medical Assistant

    Job Summary

    Our growing practice is seeking for a Medical Assistant who can assist in handling clinical and administrative duties directed by the physician. We're looking for a candidate who would be able to provide exceptional customer service to our patients with compassion and respect.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Maintains/ Order medical supplies inventory and maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
    • Patient Intake, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
    • Sterilizing medical instruments
    • Prepares patients for examination; taking blood pressure, weight, and reporting patient history summary.
    • Reviews Outlook email daily
    • Follow up on any telephone encounters pending daily
    • Manages high volume multi-line phone system incoming phone calls and voicemail
    • Informing patient results and scheduling necessary follow-up testing appointments by phone
    • Address any patient lab billing questions
    • Calling/ submitting prescription and prescription authorizations with insurances and pharmacy
    • Create and send out patient certified letters when unable to reach the patient
    • Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about in office procedures
    • Scanning/ faxing medical records; clearing out fax inbox
    • Helps maintain office organized
    • Phlebotomy
    • Provides patient support and guidance as needed

    Qualifications and Skills Preferred

    Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

    2+ years' experience in medical setting

    Familiarity with ECW/ Intergy (preferred)

    Excellent communication and problem solving skills

    Ability to work as a team

    Detail Oriented

    ***Pay depending on experience***

    ***Available to work 8:30am - 5:30pm (Required)***
