Responsibilities:

Responsible for initial planning of a project including scheduling of time, creating material stock lists, analyzing changes, and solving problems
Learn how to design various dry and wet fire protection systems following required codes
Assist with field surveys of existing buildings and systems
Learn and use design software for 2D & 3D drawings
Assist with system calculations
Work with key customers and our design/build team to prepare conceptual drawings and estimates
Produce shop drawings and asbuilt drawings
Assist with system and equipment selection
Assemble system specifications and O&M Manuals
Communicate with field personnel to ensure information flow

Specific Requirements:

AutoCAD experience preferred
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (copier/printer, etc.)
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time
Open cube office work environment, noise level quiet to moderate

Qualifications/Skills:

Good planning and problemsolving skills
Good math skills
Able to understand big picture issues
Good communication, written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Professional and detail oriented. File organization skills.
Good with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Reliable with ability to complete tasks within deadlines and communicate results back to the team
Possess a progressive, positive attitude
Ability to work as part of a team to achieve the Company's overall goals
