Your tasks in detail:

In this challenging position, you ensure the operation of the system by controlling and monitoring the transmission network of 50Hertz from the control center using the most innovative and modern applications, performing switching operations or giving instructions. It is important to anticipate potential developments in real-time operation and act proactively.
You work closely with the control centers of national and international transmission system operators, distribution system operators, and network connection customers at an expert level.
You analyze, document, and continuously provide answers to questions regarding system security. This includes conducting load flow calculations and outage simulations and coordinating measures for operational bottleneck management - in the near future, also using applications based on artificial intelligence.
You develop schedules for generation plants, switching programs, and forecasts in the context of continuous network control in cooperation with the shift management.
You accompany the transformation and reconstruction of energy transmission in the context of the energy transition by using future-oriented elements of system control, such as HVDC, offshore wind farms, STATCOM, etc., and developing their optimized and systemic use together with colleagues across departments.
You work Monday to Friday in a 3-shift system or on weekends in a 2-shift system. The basis is a framework shift plan.
