    Cloud Data Engineer at Automotive Manufacturing Company


    Job Summary
    • We are searching for an experienced Cloud Data Engineer for a well-known automotive manufacturing company in Columbus, OH.
    • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with ETL and Data Modeling on an AWS Cloud platform.
    • Responsibilities include developing, expanding, and optimizing data pipeline architecture and enhancing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
    • The perfect fit for this role is a skilled data pipeline builder and data wrangler who excels in optimizing data systems and constructing them from scratch.
    • Collaboration with colleagues is crucial to ensure that the approach aligns with the project requirements.
    • To succeed as a data engineer, flexibility, creativity, and the ability to accept and implement feedback are essential.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a keen sense of curiosity are qualities of a successful data engineer.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
    • 5+ years of relevant work experience
    • 2+ years of experience with ETL and Data Modeling on AWS Cloud Databases
    • Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL
    • Experience managing large data warehouses or data lakes
    • Ability with SQL Server and Informatica or similar technology
    • Familiarity with the Financial Services industry

    Preferred Qualifications
    • 5+ years of experience with ETL and Data Modeling on AWS Cloud Databases
    • Experience in migrating on-premise data processing to AWS Cloud
    • Holding relevant AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or AWS Certified Database
    • Proficiency in ETL optimization, designing, and coding big data processes
    • Skills in building data pipelines for streaming and processing datasets with low latencies
    • Expertise in managing data efficiently, ensuring data quality and discoverability
    • Knowledge of data distribution optimization and MPP structures
    • Understanding of Engineering and Operational Excellence
    • Demonstrated experience in vendor and partner management

    Responsibilities
    • Designing, implementing, and managing assigned cloud technology platforms
    • Leading internal and external teams in utilizing cloud technology effectively
    • Executing ITSM/ITIL processes for stable operations and SLA alignment
    • Resolving escalated support issues and performing routine maintenance
    • Ensuring monitoring and operation of the system
    • Improving system performance based on system data analysis
    • Supporting end users with highly available systems
    • Participating in support rotations
