Since its inception in 1980, Hudson Behavioral Health has been providing cutting edge treatment for Substance Use and other co-occurring disorders.

Our services include Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Partial Hospitalization, Treatment, and 3.1 Housing.


Responsibilities:


  • Greet and direct new potential patients and visitors and initiate the admissions process.
  • Manage daily admission status and assure target goals are met.
  • Responsible for managing and overseeing all admission documentation.
  • Act as primary liaison between county health departments and other referral sources.
  • Prepare admissions end of the month reports prior to monthly Department Heads Meetings.
  • Provide telephone screenings, schedule appointments, and obtain patient information for intake, as needed.
  • Obtain signed authorizations and acknowledgements at the time of admission, using the provided electronic health records system.
  • Collaborate with all departments and Department Heads to ensure a smooth admission and excellent patient care.
  • Create and update admissions logs.
  • Create patient files and prepare initial paperwork for new patient admission.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of office equipment and obtain office supplies, as needed.

Other Duties:


  • May be assigned miscellaneous duties by supervisor.
  • Provide shortterm support, by filling in for any roles needed, due to staff absence.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:


The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


  • Must be able to work on-site 40 hours per week and be able to meet with supervisor, staff, patients, and families frequently.
  • Must be able to travel to any Hudson Health facility as needed.
  • Must be in generally good health and possess a negative TB screen and pass urine drug screening.
  • Must be able to work in a healthcare environment and assist patients in instances of infection control isolation, with provided personal protective equipment (PPE). This is a standard for all HBH staff.
  • Must be able to proficiently use office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines, copy machines, etc.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and use the computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to accommodate files, file boxes, cases of paper, etc.
  • The employee is required to walk, climb steps, and use their hands to operate a standard computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with patients, staff and the public, verbally and in written form.
  • Must be able to work with a high level of ethical conduct and ensure confidentiality and strict boundaries are maintained between patients and staff.
  • Must assume and keep all information handled secure and confidential - not to be shared with anyone other than supervisors.

Requirements:


Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma.


Experience:

Experience in the field of addiction and/or mental health treatment highly preferred.

Experience with admissions processes highly preferred.
