Purpose:

To assist the Business Office in achieving the District's annual strategic plan goals. To operate the department effectively and efficiently, while being flexible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and selfdirect in changing environment
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, financial software and payroll experience preferred

Performance Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee and substitute information for payroll purposes
  • Process overtime and substitute staff pay records
  • Maintain and calculate FMLA and other leave of absence information for payroll processing and reporting purposes
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in processed payroll records
  • Monitor employee earnings in compliance with the applicable retirement system limits and requirements
  • Prepare a wide variety of reports, documents, correspondence and surveys
  • Manage union dues, reporting and process payments as needed
  • Enter the yearly district budget, audit changes, monthly journal entries, and insurance cash receipts into the financial accounting system
  • Create invoices and manage payments for a range of ancillary charges
  • Streamline and investigate changes to the payroll and other financial processes
  • Conduct financial analysis on budgetary matters and make recommendations
  • Serve as a backup to payroll and transportation office
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20-pound items

Organizational Relationship:
Reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Business Services/CSBO

Term:
Full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month (year-round) position

Administration Building


Salary Range:
$55,000 - $70,000
