We are seeking a full-time Trucking Operations Manager that holds a CDL A license and willing to drive out the Scranton, PA area. We have multiple operations spanning across several states. The Trucking Operations Manager will ensure the successful execution of home-daily runs out of the Scranton, PA terminal and
driving routes as needed weekly to ensure coverage along with other related business operations.

The Trucking Operations Manager is responsible for leading our team - ensuring safety and accountability and building positive, professional relationships with drivers.

Holding an active CDL-A certification with at least one year experience is required prior to hire date. And a doubles endorsement is preferred but to be completed during the hiring process.

Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage linehaul operations, ensuring compliance, safety, efficiency and profitability
• Drive routes 13 days weekly and as needed, keeping contact with other drivers and managers throughout shifts
• Build and manage a team of drivers to meet the needs of business
• Identify strengths and areas of opportunity in operations and driver performance
• Identify and respond to personnel issues within the operation that require more coaching, discipline and/or termination
• Monitor performance using technology and coaching to ensure safety and efficiency
• Ensure employee's compliance to policies including uniforms, prepost trip, DOT compliance, Hazmat, insurance cards, fuel cards, accident packets, etc.
• Maintain positive business relationships with station management and team members
• Ensure quick and professional responses to all service issues
• Perform safety audits, ridealong evaluations and other quality control measures
• Followup with local management on all VEDR recordable incidents and accidents according to DOT requirements
• Enforce all company policies and procedures
• Obtain and maintain good understanding and familiarity of all company routes
• Ensure the company is in compliance with all guidelines as set forth by DOT and internal policies
• Ensure that local management is accountable to accurate deliveries, recordkeeping and excellent customer service
• Communicate openly, honestly and frequently with management, drivers, other personnel and company ownership

Operations Manager Requirements:

• 1+ years of CDL A driving AND
• 2+ years logistics/transportation management experience needed
• Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check
• Must have a clean driving record
• Working knowledge of DOT, HOS and VEDR equipment preferred

Salary:
$70, $90,000.00 per year
