Overview:
To act as the liaison between the client and all concerned departments and to provide the

services and requirements necessary for a successful and failsafe conference at The Woodlands Resort.

  • Strategize for upsell revenue
  • Develop a line of communication with the client planner.
  • Interpret and satisfy customer's needs and requirements.
  • Maintain client time tables for scheduled events.
  • Develop future business through successful meetings.
  • Support management and coaching of existing conference services staff to ensure a high quality of service

Responsibilities:


  • Implements and maintains the policies and procedures for each area of Conference Services.
  • Coordinate certain key accounts assigned by Director of Catering and Conference Services
  • Develop comprehensive event plans, including catering arrangements, room setup, and special requests.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs and ensure all requirements are met.
  • Negotiate client requests for services after contract has been signed, balancing profitability while maintaining the Resorts reputation and client relationship.
  • Conduct preplanning site visits
  • Plan strategy in upsell for those managers who need daily coaching.
  • Assist in daily revenue monitoring and monthly revenue forecasting
  • Continue self development through cross training, membership in professional organizations devoted to the industry
  • Assist the Director of Catering and Conference Services as needed.
  • Participate in Conference Service meetings or lead as needed, by the Director of Catering and Conference Services

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


Must have experience dealing with meeting planner and guests, getting information from meeting contacts and distributing that information to respective departments, especially with large scale groups and at hotels with high volume group.

Elevated knowledge of audio visual, food and beverage and all other departments of the property, as well as successful upsell strategies that influence meeting banquet revenue goals, are required.


EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma is a must
  • College degree is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift up to 20 pounds
  • Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping.

Verbal and listening ability.
