Hamilton Health Box (HHB) is a rapidly growing private equity backed healthcare startup operating hybrid telemedicine-enabled primary care clinics for small and medium businesses across the country.

Position Summary
The Vice President of Clinical Operations (VP, Clinical Ops) reports to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO).

The VP, Clinical Ops is a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practioner (NP) who provides leadership in all areas relating to the clinical operations and clinical support functions of Hamilton Health Box.

The VP, Clinical Ops assists in the ongoing operational success of the company's healthcare clinics, leads collaborative efforts with healthcare partners on operational issues, and provides oversight and guidance to departmental operations.

The VP, Clinical Ops works regularly with the senior leadership, operational counterparts, clinical staff, strategic partners, and customers to build relationships, monitor performance, improve processes, solve problems, foster a culture of warmth and inclusivity among the staff, and capitalize on opportunities to strengthen the company.

This position plays a critical role in onboarding clinics with new strategic partners and/or new geographies.

The VP, Clinical Ops actively participates in patient care in order to be familiar with current workflows so that they can actively assist with process improvement.

The VP, Clinical Ops serves as a representative for the organization as it pertains to fostering partnerships throughout the communities that HHB serves and collaborates with our partners to ensure the highest levels of care quality and patient experience while working to drive down healthcare spending.

They will have a responsibility to advocate for employees to have the opportunity for profession growth in order to improve job satisfaction.


Operational Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with employees, providers, clinical staff, and clinical support and administrative staff, customers, and multiple healthcare partner organizations.
  • Works with HHB leadership to create systems and problemsolve ongoing issues that affect departmental/organizational goals and/or patient care delivery and establish relationships, monitor performance, and improve processes to ensure efficient and reliable operational performance.
  • Develops/implements policies/procedures that guides/supports care delivery, recommends sufficient number of qualified/competent staff to support the provision of care delivery operations.
  • Works with clinical leadership to enhance existing services, develop new services, and manage expenses.
  • Assists with the ongoing evaluation and training of clinical staff.
  • Participates in evaluation, selection and implementation of vendors/technology solutions that assist in improving clinical operations.
  • Maintains/implements quality control programs; provides for the orientation, inservice training and continuing education of staff; recommends resources needed in the provision of services; identifies and selects outside sources for needed services.
  • Provides leadership and guidance for operational areas as needed.
  • Responsible for managing relationships with established clinical vendors, including but not limited to, monitoring and updating contracts, approving invoicing and participating in monthly business meetings.

Clinical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
  • Contributes to a physician's efficiency by identifying shortterm and longrange patient care issues.
  • Recommends options and courses of action for patient care.
  • Implements physician directives.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examination including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
  • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as Xrays and laboratory studies and interpreting test results.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by providing normal growth and development information and providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living.
  • Provides a community of care by developing and implementing patientmanagement plans.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
