Overview:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the receipt of all incoming food, beverage, chemical and property operating supply deliveries.

The Receiving Clerk is responsible to ensure that deliveries are received, labeled, and stored per company standard with a focus on effective utilization of space and asset preservation.

This person actively engages in the inventory process and will be an end user of inventory and ordering systems.


Responsibilities:

Level One

  • Receive food and beverage product, chemicals, and operating supplies for the property reconciling the order sheet with the goods receivedInspect all goods for proper temperature, quantity & quality. Anything that is incorrect, notify deliverer & Purchasing/Assistant Manager to ensure proper creditManage the Receiving Report for all incoming deliveries, communicate the arrival of third party deliveries for all departments. Accompany vendors to Security check in and to delivery location as neededParticipate in regular physical inventory and periodic china, glass and silver inventories as directed by ManagerMaintain records for food & beverage transfers & requisitions with the use of an excel spreadsheet programReport unsafe work conditions/practices and safety/security violations or concerns in accordance with Company policyEnsure refrigeration and freezer temperature reading logs are completed daily upon arrival and departureEnsure the organization and cleanliness of the Loading Dock and associated areas Maintain knowledge of all matters relating to proper receiving and storage techniques to ensure a consistent high quality product
  • Complete the daily checklist and cleaning schedule, signing before the completion of shift
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all receiving and storage areas, refrigerators and freezers. Keep areas clear of debris
  • Inspect and evaluate physical condition of equipment daily for cleanliness and proper operation; report any necessary repairs or replacement of needed equipment
  • Communicate with Chefs and FOH Managers to determine any needs and to discuss any concerns
  • Fill and deliver food and beverage requisitions for all outlets in a timely manner
  • Ensure daily counts of food and beverage products, chemical, paper and disposable products using the appropriate ordering software as directed by Manager
  • Ensure the proper labeling, dating and rotation of all products
  • Direct delivery of food and beverage product, chemicals, and operating supplies to the proper storage location/outlet
