Work Shifts:


8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.M


Under Immediate supervision of coordinating manager/ supervising Housekeeping, a Service Aide performs work of ordinary difficulty and responsibility in the field of institutional housekeeping services.


  • Cleans kitchens and dining areas.
  • Helps load, unload and store supplies.
  • Responsible for garbage disposal and sanitation.
  • Cleans toilets, bath and shower facilities, offices, stairs and hallways.
  • Cleans porter closets, storage areas supply rooms, linen rooms, and soiled utility rooms. Empties wastepaper baskets, polishes metal, and move furniture.
  • Is responsible for floor maintenance, stripping, waxing and polishing.
  • Does houseman work such as, vacuuming, rugs and draperies.


Promotes a positive and pleasant attitude conducive to the workplace which enhances and furthers the Mission, Vision and Value Statement.


  • Meet all compliance standards requirements such as, annual physical evaluation/ assessment.
  • Responsible for enhancing, you, professional and personal development.
  • Network training sessions is expected.
  • Responsible for wearing professional attire to the workplace as well as during off site work, when conducting business on behalf of NHC H+H Metropolitan.
  • Must exhibit flexibility within the NHC H+H Metropolitan, as it pertains to work assignment, workplace designation and Tour of Duly.
  • Preform other related duties assigned.
Heavy lifting and pulling is required.


Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.
