Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) Sector has an opening for a
Manager Customer Engagements 3, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to be based in McLean, VA
.

Customer Engagements is uniquely positioned to have insight into government policy, budget, and acquisitions, as well as the Northrop Grumman business be development, strategy, government relations, and cross-functional activities across other Sectors and Corporate organizations.

This role will responsible for leading the planning and execution of Tier 1 and Tier 2 tradeshows and events on behalf of the Sr.

Director, Customer Engagements by supporting the planning and formulation of NGSP and senior customer executive engagements via scheduling and preparation package development.

These activities have strategic importance to Northrop Grumman Corporation and are highly visible to and include Executive Leadership.

Due to the significant increase of NGSP participation and sponsorship in trade shows and events, the Manager fills a critical void in sustaining operations and identifying areas to improve the customer engagement process and delivery.


  • Lead and support the Sector planning and execution of trade shows and special events, to include the management of executivelevel preparation packages and schedule coordination.
  • Coordinate scheduling, agenda management and other preparations for sector VIP visits to ensure the event/meeting aligns with overall strategic goals and objectives.
  • In coordination with Sector Communications, manage the Sectorlevel association memberships and sponsorships on behalf of Business Development.
  • Use Operations & Integration data sources to prepare and distribute a variety of reports and other documentation.
  • Define meeting/presentation needs and ensure closure to actions.
  • Manage meeting and event records using various NGC tools, most notably Salesforce; ensure inputs are accurate, consistent, complete and available for future reference through archiving.
  • As needed, provide support for tracking congressional budget activities as well as hearing and other engagements.
  • As needed, provide support for the Employees of Northrop Grumman Political Action Committee (ENGPAC) for the Space sector.
  • As needed, provide support to facilitate Salesforce trainings to across the Sector and Divisions as requested.
  • Superior critical thinking, organization, communication, and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism and poise
  • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills; and collaboration skills are required
  • High level and attention to detail

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 12+ years of professional experience, including project management and/or event management
  • Active TS clearance
  • Experience managing and executing major trade shows and events
  • Some knowledge and familiarity with national security space and civil space systems
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working with Congress and senior executives
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred
  • Experience interfacing with customers, in particular high level government and military personnel (Legislators, SES, General/Flag officers)
  • Prior exposure and planning experience with Tier 1 Tradeshows such as Space Symposium and AFA
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multiple priority tradeshow engagement pl
