We are currently seeking an Office/Design Assistant to join our team.General Statement of Job:
In the hybrid position, the Office/Design Assistant is responsible for assisting the office/design team with research, preparing quotes, processing orders, tracking status of orders, and general office tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
Research availability and prices of goods. Request official quotes and lead times from vendors.
Prepare quotes for clients, process orders, and assist with creating POs.
Follow up with vendors/factories to make sure orders are on schedule and maintain shipping schedule spreadsheets.
Keep filing systems and order database up to date.
Assist with general office tasks including covering phones on a rotating basis.
Visit job site with Designer, if needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Some college preferred Must be highly organized
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to step in where needed in the process.
Experience researching and creating quotes and processing orders, preferably in the construction or interior design industry.
Highly proficient in iWork, Adobe, Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred
Strong written and verbal skills
Must be a dependable team player with the ability to deliver high level of customer service.
Knowledge of AccountEdge is a plus
