The primary purpose of our Recruiter is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our vision, "To be the members' trusted financial partner".
As a Recruiter you will be responsible for staffing and recruitment and performs activities relating to the employment function of Human Resources.
In this position you will meet and exceed service expectations of managers and staff in all GLCU departments in order that GLCU can provide the highest level member service.
- Create and maintain internal job postings; prepare and place employment ads for on-line and print.
- Conduct pre-employment inquiries
credit reports, checks for bondability, verification of prior employment, and criminal records checks. Reviews results of pre-employment inquiries to ensure they match the information provided by the applicant, and resolves any discrepancies.
- Complete designated tasks on checklists relating to new hires, terminations and transfers.
- Develop and maintains relationships with recruiting sources. Develop new sources of qualified applicants.
- Completes and distributes the Monthly Turnover Report and Month End Staffing Report.
- Ensures position descriptions are created/updated for all GLCU positions through Sr Manager level.
- Communicate with managers on the progress of new hires within the first 30 days and documents results.
- Assists Training Manager in preparation of manuals, handouts, and presentation materials for Welcome Week and other training programs.
Requirements:

- High school diploma
- 1 to 3 years of experience is required
- Experience with recruitment processes and ATS
- A working knowledge of employment law
- Excellent communication skills
