Description
What would I be doing?:
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk is responsible for the duties, functions, and tasks of the front desk area to assure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages.
Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, and travel directions.
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will keep record of room availability and guest's accounts, manually or by computer.
Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk may post charges to guest's bill.
Must be willing to cross-train in other departments of Hotel Operations as instructed by management.
This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
Assist in the group sales efforts as specified by PBX Supervisor or Front Desk Supervisor.
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will complete all necessary reports as assigned by your supervisor.
Maintain lobby area and coffee bar.
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk must be willing to work alone, supervised, non-supervised when needed.
What are we looking for?:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
Excellent communication and guest service skills are a must.
Previous guest service position
Must be at least 18
