The Process Optimization and Program Management Lead will oversee and manage the process redesign and optimization of critical business processes, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with stakeholder requirements.

This involves using strong process expertise, project management skills, and effective communication to identify risks, allocate resources and leverage data insights for process optimization opportunities.


Your Key Responsibilities:


  • Programmanage the process redesign and optimization of business critical processes within the Meetings, Congress and Events space.
  • Strong six sigma process expertise with experience in process optimization and technology transition
  • Project manages any process or technology updates and transitions.
  • Responsible for the overall management of the project, including planning, organizing, and implementing the transition process.
  • Identify and engage with stakeholders, such as business stakeholder, platform users, and other project teams, to ensure their requirements are understood and addressed.
  • Identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their progress throughout the project.
  • Allocate resources, such as budget, personnel, and time, to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Establish effective communication channels, provide regular updates to partners, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Evolve and update dashboards to ensure that they meet changing team and business needs.
  • Use insights gathered from dashboard and other data sources to inform process optimization opportunities.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 7+ years of relevant business processes / consulting, process design, and/or process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in process optimization methodologies and tools (such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Business Process Management) to identify inefficiencies, analyze processes, and implement improvements.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and practices. Skills in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and customer engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify process improvement opportunities, analyze data, and make datadriven decisions. Problemsolving skills to address challenges and obstacles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively engage with the team to understand their requirements and manage expectations; ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to provide direction and support to the project team; motivating and encouraging team members, managing conflicts, and driving results.
  • Experience in change management methodologies and practices; skills in customer engagement, communication, and managing resistance to change.
  • An approach of continuous improvement and a willingness to learn and adapt to new methodologies, technologies, and industry trends.

Desirable Requirements:


  • Previous experience in leading process optimization initiatives and running technology transitions is highly desirable. This includes experience in identifying improvement opportunities, implementing process changes, and leading the transition to new vendors or technologies.
  • Familiarity with the Pharma or Healthcare industry including its processes, regulations, and best practices is beneficial.

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000.00 and $216,000.00 / year; _however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period.

Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities._ The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
