Summary:
The HR Assistant is responsible for providing a range of support to CTIA's Human Resources department.
In this role, you will perform a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks including compliance, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS database administration, and maintenance of personnel files.
This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. You must be able to multi-task and have exceptional written and oral communications skills. This position reports directly to the Director, HR and Administration.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Process and file I9 Documentation
- Work with HR Director to compile and file EEO1 Report
- Submit exemption status for DC Parking Cash-Out as needed
- Ensure proper HR documentation/paperwork has been filed in personnel files to ensure successful HR Audit results.
- Prepare and distribute Wage Acknowledgment forms to employees via Paycor
- Prepare monthly Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistic report as needed
- Prepare annual OSHA Report of Work-Related Injuries
HR & Administrative Support:
- Manage CTIA's Onboarding, Orientation, and Mentorship Program in collaboration with IT, Accounting, and Hiring Managers. Maintain a thorough prehire checklist to ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding process.
- Provide assistance, support, training, and troubleshooting to employees in Paycor. Identify new features and improvements to maximize the system's capabilities.
- Work with HR Director in completing and submitting responses to annual Salary Benchmarking and CEO Compensation surveys.
- Manage generating payroll timesheets and update changes in office hours as required. Review for accuracy and compliance to leave policy.
- Provide assistance to the HR Director and IT Department with testing of inhouse review system prior to system going live for midyear and yearend review process.
- Code and process invoices for expenses relating to the admin department cross checking to ensure bills are being processed on a monthly basis. Follow up with vendors as needed when invoicing has been delayed.
- Provide administrative support, expense report management, and calendar activities for the HR department as required.
- Act as primary backup support with regard to Benefit administration
- Benefits enrollment, termination, and invoice approvals.
- Take on special assignments as assigned.

Qualifications:
3 years general HR experience preferred. Must be detail oriented; highly organized; ability to multitask; ability to maintain confidentiality.
Knowledge:
Previous experience dealing with HR compliance desired - I-9 documentation, processing of FMLA requests; and EEO-1 filing. Must have familiarity with office procedures, policies, and practices. Experience with Paycor strongly desired.
Education and/or experience:
B.A (or B.S.) preferred. 3 years previous administrative and HR experience desired.
Computer skills:
Experience in Microsoft Office, with advanced experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint. Previous HRIS experience required; Paycor experience strongly desired.
