    1 year of RN experience with 6 months of directly dialysis experience required.

    The Supervisor, Nursing Procedural Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for supervision of assigned nursing and unit-based personnel to provide a safe, caring environment for patients, family and staff which fosters professional nursing practice, mutual conclusion-making, inter-professional synergy and partnership with positive patient and staff outcomes.

    The Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations and productivity and assists the Nursing Manager in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and monitoring policies and procedures, budgets and the allocation of resources, quality/performance improvement initiatives, educational programs and mutual governance councils to achieve departmental and organizational goals and targets.

    Provides nursing care as needed.

    This role is only to be used in specific procedural departments as resolved by the Office of the CNO.


    Clinical Judgment:
    Creates, fosters and sustains a healthy work environment which helps evidence-based practice and research. Coordinates patient care through partnership with inter-professional team members in planning, implementing and evaluating patients' plans of care. Supervises personnel in providing safe, cost-effective, efficient care based on separate patient needs. Ensures staff members maintain proficiency based on standards of practice for patient population. Provides nursing care as needed.
    Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, including, but not limited to, nursing delicate indicators.

    Facilitates practice changes among nursing staff through quality and performance improvement initiatives and use of best, evidence-based practices and research findings.

    Identifies, proposes and conducts clinical research.
    Creates and sustains a humane, helpful, safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families and staff.

    Assists in the coordination of patient care conferences and inter-professional rounds to address patient/family needs, discharge planning and best caring practices and outcomes.

Identifies staff professional growth opportunities and assists in the development of the department's succession plan. Provides and evaluates a comprehensive onboarding/orientation program for newly-hired staff.
