General Summary: This position involves aiding the Assistant Director of Environmental Services in overseeing the Housekeeping program to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the Hospital.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Manage employee work schedule with support from the Assistant Director.
- Ensure adequate staffing to cover the work schedule on a daily basis.
- Conduct QC inspections daily on team members and collaborate with QC and Assistant Director to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
- Review government QA inspections, ensuring appropriate follow-up and implementation of Corrective/Preventive Actions.
- Provide orientation training for employees and maintain required documentation.
- Monitor employees daily to address potential issues promptly.
- Conduct job evaluations for employees and submit them to the Assistant Director when necessary.
- Perform public relation rounds on units and build relationships with key individuals.
- Ensure all housekeeping staff have necessary supplies for their duties.
- Perform other assigned tasks by the Assistant Director.
**Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:**
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of three years' experience in quality control or relevant education/experience to comprehend the technical aspects of our services.
- At least one year of recent experience in hospital housekeeping or similar field with industry certification requirements met.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
**Working Conditions:**
- Ability to walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, push, pull, and stretch as needed.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
