Description

The Coordinator works closely with the sales team assisting them with booking, data collection, and analysis as well as performing general office duties, disseminating information, and facilitating inter-group communications.

Team coordination and chasing delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines is another major responsibility.

Multitasking is essential, as the Coordinator will also be responsible for answering phones, taking memos, generating reports, drafting screening reactions, file organization, and the overall macro level maintenance that keeps office operations running smoothly.


Responsibilities

  • CREATIVE WRITING
  • Draft screening reactions and other documents, which are disseminated to and viewed at all levels including executives and filmmakers, utilizing a high level of creative and professional writing skill.


  • COMMUNICATION

  • Must be skilled in typing, writing, grammar, punctuation, and oral communication (which mean speaking clearly and correctly on the telephone).


  • DOCUMENTATION

  • Create and maintain various forms and reports used throughout the year by sales and the home office. This includes using analytical analysis and understanding of performance patterns over time.


  • COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Must be very comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. May be required from time to time to conduct Internet research on various movie related topics.


  • BOOKKEEPING

  • Record expenditures and compile monthly expense reports for the district managers and coordinate their travel requests/arrangements with the Sony travel department.


  • ORGANIZATION

  • Must be dedetailorientedflexible, and able to work under pressure with multiple tasks on the table at the same time.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of domestic theatrical film distribution and/or exhibition.
  • General movie knowledge is a plus.
  • Writing and the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Team coordination and communication
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision in a fluid work environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and balance responsibilities
  • Needs to be detail oriented
The anticipated base salary for this position is $48,481 to 63,025. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits.

The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
