- Provides Tier 2 and 3 support for AWS cloud issues.
- Follows IT security best practices, policies, and procedures in support of Global IT security programs.

- Infrastructure development and operation:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to identify and resolve issues.
- Assists in the preparation of standards and documentation consistent with departmental guidelines.
- Participate as contributor to the IT risk assessment and qualification process as relevant.
- Contributes to business enablement and project delivery:
- Works towards overall project goals, plans, timelines, and deliverables using the Novo Nordisk SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology
- Manages it vendors:
- Liaise with vendors as needed.
- Understands & applies risk management practices:
- Assists in and evaluates results of audits and assessments; participates in remediation; ensures systems meet requirements of risk and compliance practices
- Adheres to qualification SOPs to ensure industry compliance, including CFR, GxP; apply ITSM & qualification management system (QMS) best practices as needed Physical Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an information technology field, or equivalent relevant work experience required.
- At least 3 years of experience with the AWS cloud platform required.
- At least 3 years of experience programming in python required.
- Experience working with Boto3 required.
- Excellent software design and debugging skills.
- Ability to accurately estimate software development tasks and work to schedule.
- Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Experience with information technology security concepts.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Working knowledge of computer networking.
- Working knowledge of IT Service Management including service desk, Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, Capacity, and Financial Management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills: works well with others in a cross functional team environment as well as a self-starter able to work independently
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment; interact within and outside of the organization at all levels.
- A minimum of one AWS cloud certification
- A strong development background
- Experience programming in both python and typescript
- Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Agile, Kanban, Lean, or similar framework

The Position
The Cloud Engineer role will be responsible for technical leadership in the development and operations of our AWS environment.
As a Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud infrastructure solutions and services. The focus will be around developing and maintaining foundational AWS services for internal customers. The Cloud Engineer will be an active member of the AWS Agile Product team and will therefore be working closely with members of the Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure (C&CI) organization, coordinating activities with colleagues in Denmark, India and the US. You must exhibit a global mindset and approach in your work.
Relationships
This position reports to the Manager, NAO Infrastructure and will collaborate closely with members of the North America Operations team and C&CI colleagues in DK and India.
Additional internal stakeholders include IT System Managers, Global Security Organization, C&CI for Infrastructure, Network, Security, Application, and user related activities.
External stakeholders could include service providers for support of hosted infrastructure in the AWS cloud. The role will liaison for other Cloud initiatives as needed across C&CI.
Essential Functions
0-10% overnight travel required.
