Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contribute periodic reviews of the S&OP process to ensure it continues to efficiently meet all the needs of all stakeholders and it is revised and updated as needed
  • Calculate and track S&OP performance metrics to assist management in evaluation of meeting business objectives.
  • Execute the Demand Planning process within the S&OP process for given BU
  • Achieve a consensus for demand forecast by facilitating a collaborative planning process with regional Sales and the global business unit demand planner.
  • Interact with Sales to review historic sales trends, promotional activity, new product introductions, and product endoflife cycles. Seek to understand demand forecast drivers and confirm current market conditions.
  • Evaluate forecast results, reconcile significant variances, and refine forecast models to reflect updated sales data and assumptions.
  • Develop and monitor appropriate statistical forecasting models and demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation, and for multiple time periods.
  • Provide input data to the regional S&OP Team to enable effective strategies of production and inventory controls.
  • Prepare and maintain reports relevant to the demand planning process.
  • Participate in preparing financial budgets and updating forecasts.
  • Coordinate the Master Production Schedule for the BU in alignment with the S&OP process
  • Monitoring and ensuring minimum stock levels and product availability.
  • Maintains and anticipates stock level according to sales forecasts/budgets.
  • Ensures the viability of stocks according to their expiry dates.
Education and/or Experience


Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, or Supply Chain Management, and five years of related work experience in demand/supply planning and collaborative process management, preferably within the food or pharmaceutical industries.

Language Skills

Proficiency in a second language preferred but not required - Spanish or French.

Computer Skills


To perform this job to a valued degree of success, an individual should have strong knowledge and methodology with an ERP system, preferably Oracle or SAP.

The individual will also need a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point. An added benefit would be the individual to have a good knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing and Accounting concepts.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies and skills:

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, specific with strong knowledge of statistical and regression analysis.
  • Strong experience in supply chain management, preferred formal background in any of the following: demand/supply/distribution planning, APICS-Production and Inventory Management, Master Production Planning certifications, CPIM
  • Certified Production and Inventory Management, and consulting experience with an IT consulting firm.
  • Ability to identify process problems, and to offer practical solutions to resolve the problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to challenge people at any level of an organization and clearly articulate a story behind numbers
  • Well organized, and can prepare a follow through on a work plan that accomplishes objectives in a timely manner.
  • Ability to develop clear and detailed business needs that can be understood by other stakeholders, including global partners.
  • Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility, with the presence and communication skills to represent IT and supply chain related concepts effectively with all levels of the business.
  • Is selfmotivated, and can accomplish assigned tasks without the need of continuous supervision.
  • Can work well in a groupproblem solving environment.
