Currently, more than engineers work for us to realize and sustainably maintain new bridges, tunnels, train stations, tracks, and signal systems - but that's not nearly enough.

As an engineer at Deutsche Bahn, you can plan, manage, or supervise something that will remain:
the infrastructure for future generations.


We are currently looking for you as an engineer and estimator (m/f/d) for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH at our location in Hanau, starting as soon as possible.


Your tasks:

  • You are responsible for preparing and creating cost estimates for construction projects in the track center department.
  • You also review and evaluate the tender documents and resulting alternative offers in terms of their costeffectiveness.
  • In addition, you develop schedules for the construction process, taking into account the necessary machinery and logistical dependencies.
  • You also create price inquiries for subcontractor services and evaluate and create price comparisons.
  • Lastly, you conduct site inspections and clarification meetings for the projects you are working on.

Your profile:

  • You have a degree in civil engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Previous experience in bid preparation or cost estimation for construction projects in the track construction field is desirable but not mandatory.
  • You have fluent communication skills in German, both written and spoken.
  • You are characterized by your ability to communicate, handle stress, work independently, and take responsibility.
