GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting with various promotional activities including the gifting program and assisting at various promotional and marketing events both on and off property.
DUTIES:
- Must execute the duties of the gifting program including preparing for distribution, opening boxes, stacking, sorting, distribution, disposing of product waste, cleaning area of waste, etc.
- Must coordinate with other staff and departments to facilitate a smooth distribution of product on a weekly basis.
- Required to use lifting and moving equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, dollies, etc.
- Accesses player tracking system to redeem gifting program award and make updates as necessary.
- Resolves guests inquires and requests as it pertains to the gifting program.
- Count and stock merchandise and prepare for distribution on a weekly basis and as needed.
- Count and pack return orders in an orderly manner and close and wrap cartons, so they are prepared for shipping.
- Will be required to attend and assist at high volume promotional, marketing and VIP events both on and off property such as: concerts, golf outings, trade shows, and other casino sponsored events as directed.
- Required to perform promotions drawings, record promotional payouts.
- Responsible for Coat Check duties as needed.
- Will represent casino at events as well as set up and take down of any advertising/promotional displays and products used for such events.
- Interact with guests and facilitate activities at events to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Must attend all training provided by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
- Must attend all meetings, as assigned.
- Must dress appropriately and professionally for each event.
- Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
- Must adhere to all tribal laws such as Chapter 25Gaming Ordinance, Employee Rights Ordinance, and other applicable laws as well as the casino employee manual policies and procedures.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
- Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
- Must submit to and pass a preemployment drug screening and health screening.
- Must be flexible with schedule to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
- Must have a positive attitude and provide a teamwork structure within the department.
- Must be willing to enhance selfdevelopment and be willing to adapt to change.
- Must be willing to attend all applicable training.
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfactory working record in any prior and/or current employment.
- Must be eligible for coverage under the employer's liability insurance.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a motivated selfstarter who is able to lead others while handling multiple projects and tight deadline demands.
- Previous gaming industry experience preferred.
- Previous database experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with various levels of staff.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Must have above average written, oral communication and presentation skills.
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license, be willing to travel and have insured transportation. Must meet the insurability guidelines of Mohican Nation Insurance.
- Must agree to the concept of teamwork.
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
- Must pass a preemployment drug screening. Must adhere to the Tribe's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently sit and stand; use hands/arms and fingers.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to forty(40) pounds.
- Evening and/or weekend is required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
- Work environment requires excellent personal hygiene due to working near others and in an enclosed area.
- Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent.
