    Description

    Ziemer USA, a subsidiary of the privately owned medical device company Ziemer AG provides products, sales support and technical assistance for clients in the US and Canada. Ziemer innovates, engineers and manufactures femtosecond ophthalmic lasers and biometric devices. Our product portfolio enables Ophthalmic Surgeons to realize better patient outcomes and raise the state-of-the-art in refractive and cataract surgeries.

    Ziemer USA is looking for applicants to fill one of their limited Clinical Applications Specialist positions. This position will allow for personal growth and upward mobility within our expanding company.

    The Clinical Applications Specialist for Ziemer USA, trains physicians and staff on the use of company equipment at customer sites, user meetings, conferences, etc. and acts as first-level escalation for clinical issue resolution. In addition, they may provide first level support for installations, upgrades and applications issues; investigating and resolving escalated customer reports of applications problems with equipment by analyzing reports of applications problems and/or performance issues to improve surgical outcomes.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Providing training on company equipment at customer sites
    • Providing remote and on-site applications assistance for escalated issues to trouble shoot
    • Participate in problem resolution with engineering, customer support, technical support and other company personnel to expedite repairs and ensure customer satisfaction
    • Keep up to date knowledge of all product lines distributed by Ziemer USA
    • Extensive travel up to 75% and may include weekend and evening travel/work as required by client need

    Additional Requirements of Position:

    • 4 Year undergraduate degree desired
    • 5 year minimum of refractive and/or cataract experience either as an Applications Specialist, a Clinician, a Scrub Technician, or combination of all 3
    • Proven successful track record of working with Femtosecond lasers and/or Excimer Lasers
    • Valid Passport
