Job Summary:


Under general supervision, operates radiographic equipment, including whole body CT scanners and radiographic equipment; develops x-ray images; maintains adequate records; assists physician in fluoroscopic examinations; operates portable x-ray equipment, and follows standard radiation and safety procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

  • Must have three years recent Radiologic technology experience, including one year of recent experience in whole body computerized tomography.
  • May substitute one year CT experience with successful completion of the departments formal CT training program.
  • Technical skills and knowledge required may vary by location and area.
  • Operates radiographic and/or fluoroscopic equipment as well as film or digital processing equipment.
Education

  • N/A
License, Certification, Registration

  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California) OR Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certificate (California)


  • Certified Radiologic Technologist

  • Venipuncture Certificate (California)


  • Certified Radiologic Technologist

  • Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Basic Life Support

Notes:


  • Must be able to work in outpatient and ER setting.
  • Provide 8 shifts per month, 4 of which should be weekend shifts on alternating weekends.
  • Must be able to cover 2 observed holidays
