:IMPACT DELIVERABLES
- Effectively manage a small team of 4 individuals comprising of another qualified accountant, a staff accountant and two finance operations professionals.
- Oversee the teams effectiveness in performing their tasks across AR, AP, GL and stock inventory.
- Own the General Ledger monthend close for the two entities, ensuring timely preparation of accurate periodic financial statements
- Ensure timely provision of information for global management reporting process back to the UK HQ
- Prepare cash flow forecasts on a frequent basis with review and approval of all outgoing payments
- Own the annual financial audit process for the US, coordinating with the UK HQ to ensure the timely completion of audit requirements
- Be an influential member of the US Leadership team and ensure the finance function is an enabler to future growth
- Support the finance business partners, whether in the UK or US, on understanding volume, price, mix and gross profit analyses
- Establish and control budgets across all departments for the US business, fully evaluating and considering the needs and longterm goals of each department, in conjunction with the UK HQ
- Develop, oversee, and enhance financial and accounting policies and practices to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Establish and manage all fiscal reporting
- Prepare all financial statements; create and execute a plan to improve the management of financial statements and audit documentation
- Support the design and implementation of effective internal controls in conjunction with the UK HQ
- Performing analysis on financial results, trends, costs and budgets
- Preparing tax schedules and returns and ensuring that corporate income tax compliance is accurate
Requirements:
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
- Qualified CPA
- 10+ years experience in a senior finance position
- Netsuite experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, xlookups)
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience of dealing with sales tax, nexus as well as corporate tax requirements
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and reporting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain longstanding business relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written; skilled in the art of negotiation
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
- Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
