Many of our residents have experienced significant trauma in their lives and are struggling with mental illness and/or substance use disorder.

A Harm Reduction approach is used at Columba Services.


Essential Functions:

• Engage with tenants about their substance use disorder (SUD).
• Assess tenant needs and assist with treatment based on personcentered goals.
• Participate in the intake and admission process.
• Work as a team to meet the needs of tenants.
• Update referral sources for tenants.
• Coordinate efforts to educate tenants and staff about SUD.
• Expand and maintain relationships with community providers based on tenant needs.
• Actively participate in staff and community meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to write proficiently.
• Must ave good problemsolving skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or similar field
• At least two years of experience working with people who struggle with addiction and/or homelessness
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and/or climb stairs. Occasionally, the employee will have to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Salary:

$43,000 to $45,000 annually
