- Oversees document control processes (submittals, RFI's, ASI's, change management, etc.)
- Assist with site safety documentation.
- Assist with developing and updating project CPM schedule.
- Assist in verification of quality of work put in place (QC conformance & punch list administration)
- Facilitating subcontractor and supplier coordination, and procurement working in conjunction with the Concrete Superintendent and Concrete Project Manager.
- Estimating duties as required including:
- Accurate and timely review of the design documents to identify the required scopes of work and develop a bid list for review by the project team. Communicating of scopes to bidding subcontractors/vendors.
- Completing accurate takeoffs of plans ranging from conceptual to final CD's, with waste factors and production rates that support JHL's pricing format and obtaining and applying accurate/complete costs to the quantities.
- Pricing materials, equipment, labor & other execution requirements for concrete self-performed scopes of work.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Required: High School Diploma. Preferred: Work Experience or Equivalent Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience working in commercial or infrastructure construction.
- Maintain OSHA 30 (minimum) and recommended refresher training.
- Obtain as required - project specific and equipment operation safety training.
- Attend training for operational software as needed to stay current.
- Seek training from Superintendents and/or PMs on all areas of self-assessed or assessed opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in Trimble Prolog, Microsoft Office, and Primavera P6
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with building/estimating techniques.
- Strong initiative, communication, problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Concrete Project Engineer 1 position will provide effective and efficient support to the project's field management team and support assigned projects or project areas, along with supporting the Concrete Superintendent and Concrete Project Manager on an assigned project or multiple projects. The position will perform routine daily activities and assists in gathering and distributing information to team members and subcontractors. In addition to project support, the Concrete Project Engineer 1 will assist in estimating as needed.
