    Job Description

    Position Summary

    This position is responsible for supervising the production and assembly of personal care products that meet and exceed the leading industry standards.

    · Directs the daily production of cosmetic products, in a safe and ethical manner, to ensure that specifications and quality assurance requirements are consistently met or exceeded.

    · Assists CEO in establishing and managing production schedules and table utilization.

    · Ensures that complete fabrication of an entire panel is accomplished by production personnel, enabling Quality personnel to provide

    an independent check of all work performed.

    · Attends daily production meetings to discuss production schedules, concerns, and opportunities for improvement, and to ensure ongoing organizational teamwork.

    · Works with Line Leads to ensure that all crew members are engaged in productive work throughout the entire workday.

    · Ensures that good housekeeping and safety practices are maintained in the plant and provides documentation of weekly safety meetings to the plant's Safety Manager.

    · Evaluates the work of second shift personnel for the purpose of determining skill level, training needs, and potential for increased responsibility; and serves as a coach to help these employees expand their career opportunities.

    · Serves as a role model for employees with regard to attendance, timeliness, loyalty, mutual respect, and support for organizational teamwork and continuous improvement.

    · Conducts preliminary performance appraisals of second shift Line Leads and crew members and reviews with CEO prior to discussing the appraisal with the employee.

    · Monitors actual production labor costs per panel versus the labor costs established in the bid, and engages production personnel in problem-solving if a negative trend is identified.

    · Works with the CEO and production personnel to track and reduce the level of rework and fixes.

    · Assumes responsibility for maintaining plant safety in accordance with Safety best practices.

    · Works with the CEO to develop a list of prioritized constructive tasks for production employees to perform when scheduled production work is delayed or postponed, including review of job training, housekeeping tasks, facility maintenance, record keeping, etc.

    Technical Skills Required

    · Self-directed and motivated.

    · Strong interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills.

    · Ability to learn and navigate an MRP/ERP system.

    · Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

    · Ability to think quickly and make decisions while considering all internal and external customers' requirements.

    Experience Required

    · Bachelor's Degree

    · Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing is preferred

    Physical Requirements

    · Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

    · Able to stand and remain upright for periods of up to 4 hours at a time.

    · Ability to see color.
