The Department of Athletics at Bloomsburg is seeking an Assistant Track and Field Coach who possesses the coaching expertise and organizational skills needed to coordinate, oversee, and organize all aspects of the throws program.
Bloomsburg is a NCAA Division II Institution with 23 varsity sports programs (wrestling is an NCAA Division I program), as part of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania.
Full-time, 12-month position which requires the organization and supervision of all aspects of an academically strong and athletically competitive track and field/cross country program, including: recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success, ability to relate to student-athletes, compliance with NCAA Division II rules, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), and Bloomsburg policies and regulations, scheduling, practice and match planning, fitness, camps and clinics, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and the Athletic Director.
Is responsible for fundraising efforts and Alumni and Community engagement activities that benefit the program, the Department of Athletics, and Bloomsburg.
Bachelor's degree is required.Applicants must have a minimum of three years of coaching as a Head or Assistant Coach at the intercollegiate or high school level.
