Allied Universal is seeking full time security System Technicians to oversee a Corporate office in Cambridge, MA

Pay range between $25 and $30 an hour

Security experience of - 5 years beneficial to position

Monday through Friday mornings

DailyPay available

The Security Systems Specialist is responsible for the support of all physical security systems including access control, CCTV operations, and dedicated alarm systems on a global wide spectrum.

This position will also serve as the point of contact for training users to operate the access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position.


Other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and daytoday operations of all access control and CCTV operations globally; this includes monitoring and troubleshooting problems with physical security equipment, servers, and workstations on a global level
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program based on vendor data and quality control standards
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all issues relative to corporate ID badging, access control, CCTV, and alarm systems on a global wide spectrum
  • Act as the department representative interacting with service/project integrators for repair and maintenance of all access, CCTV, and alarm systems
  • Develop site proposals (quantity varies depending on client needs); develop site planning and construction plan reports (quantity varies depending on client needs)
  • Development of training materials; serve as the department's trainer for all users of the corporate security access, CCTV, and alarm systems
  • Create ID/Access Badges for new employees and contractors across the global platform
  • Assist with system/site design and improvement recommendations
  • Participate in project or servicerelated conference calls and meetings to align with project/service needs
  • Maintain uptodate documentation of the department's processes and procedures; maintain uptodate documentation of service and project logs for all access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. Provide reports as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring all necessary personal certifications to perform responsibilities are current
  • Advise on technological trends in systems management

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience with security systems to include basic programming and operations management of access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms; specifically, Lenel OnGuard and Genetec Security Center

Knowledge and Skills Required:


  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate international business hours
  • Able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
  • Office setting with mínimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Major activities include interfacing with site and contractor personnel; working on PC while sitting; telephone use
