Education Coordinator, Position is 30 hours a week, Monday-Friday, and hours are 2 PM-8 PM during the school year and up to 40 hours per week between the hours of 8 AM-4 PM during the summer program, school vacation weeks. The Education Coordinator may be required to drive club vehicles, some weekends may be required. Must have reliable transportation.

thirteen holidays annually and our centers are closed.

Additionally, if the holiday falls on a weekend day, we will be closed the Friday or Monday closest to the holiday.

$250 sign on bonus


Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Education Coordinator will manage the overall daily operations of the Clubhouse with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management community relations and membership administration.

Supervises and evaluates activities/programs provided within the Clubhouse and ensures programs within each impact area:
Academic Success and Healthy Habits.

Other tasks include, but are not limited to:
Supervising and evaluating educational activities/programs provided within the Clubhouse.

Collaborating with leadership team and other program directors to ensure members are receiving diverse educational programs.


Education:

High school degree (or equivalent) required with two years of youth development experience and bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.


Experience:

A minimum of two years' work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.


Skills/ Knowledge required in the following areas:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Knowledge of youth development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer/technological skills preferred.
  • Group leadership skills including an understanding of group dynamics.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications, preferred.
