The Educational Technology Specialist Lead brings a faculty-first approach to developing simulcast, online, and face-to-face instructional strategies and material for Robinson faculty, in addition to promoting new learning technologies, delivery strategies, and pedagogy options.

This position develops resources and services, including tailored training programs, online reference materials, and learning modules, focusing on best practices across the educational technology industry.


Expected Duties:


  • Development of cuttingedge digestible content, including but not limited to webinars, podcasts, interviews, and interactive learning modules.
  • Development and dissemination of online materials focusing on proven strategies that can positively impact student progression, retention, and graduation.
  • Assists in planning and overseeing the content strategy, requirements, and deliverables that support the Robinson College brand across the web, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Provide advanced instructional design services and project management for Robinson College online learning materials and courses.
  • Become the SME in the planning of simulcast instructional approaches, focusing on student engagement strategies, integrating technologyenhanced learning tools, developing mixmode teams, and ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all students.
  • Conduct needs assessment, design and develop highquality online course material, incorporating a variety of effective instructional tools and technology.
  • Assist in the creation of appropriate content and recommend approaches to meet intended learning outcomes, following appropriate legal, ethical, and procedural guidelines and practices, including accessibility.
  • Network with faculty, department heads, program managers, and other learning technology stakeholders.
  • Research and recommend new educational technologies and strategies.
  • Participate in University System of Georgia meetings, task forces, conferences, and constituent groups to promote Robinson's learning technology interests.
  • Work with the GSU Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Online Education (CETLOE) designers and Marketing Communications' branding initiatives to create onbrand materials in a variety of formats including but not limited to PDF, PowerPoint, Video, and Audio Modules.
  • Become the iCollege (D2L) Learning Management System SME and provide assistance to faculty with course content, tool integration, and any educational technologyrelated questions.
  • Manage Graduate Assistants and train them to be technologically savvy and useful to professors in the Graduate programs.
  • Attend and present at professional conferences, webinars, and workshops.
Flexible Work Schedules

The role will primarily work out of the Buckhead Center.

This position is eligible for a flexible schedule and hybrid remote working that meet the needs of the employee and Robinson College noting that this role will be supporting students on-campus and should be accessible, in-person as required to support the student population.
