Description
As a Server, you are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests. Your role involves taking orders, delivering food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

With a focus on professionalism and attentiveness, you contribute to the overall success of the restaurant by fostering positive interactions and exceeding guest expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.

Taking Orders: Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring clarity and attention to detail. Provide recommendations and answer any questions regarding menu items, specials, and dietary restrictions.

Delivering Orders: Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests, following established service standards. Ensure orders are complete, properly prepared, and presented in an appealing manner.

Checking Back: Check back with guests periodically to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or requests promptly. Monitor tables for refill needs, additional orders, or other guest needs.

Upselling and Promotion: Promote special menu items, beverages, and desserts to guests, utilizing product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques. Encourage guests to try new items and enhance their dining experience.

Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables, replenishing supplies, and tidying up as needed. Assist with cleaning tasks and side work to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere.

Processing Payments: Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and gift certificates. Handle transactions efficiently and provide receipts to guests in a timely manner. Balance cash register at the end of each shift and reconcile any discrepancies.

Collaborating with Team: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth service and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate orders and address guest needs.

Following Safety and Hygiene Standards: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Maintain a clean and safe work environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.

Providing Excellent Customer Service: Strive to exceed guest expectations by providing attentive service, anticipating needs, and resolving any issues or complaints professionally and courteously.


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
