MT Students

After successful completion of course work at an approved college/university and completion of clinical rotation with an accredited laboratory, MT students are eligible to perform in that respective discipline under the direct supervision of the department Section Supervisor.

Performs manual and automated testing and special procedures as appropriate. Interprets Quality Control studies to ensure reliable test result reporting. Processes clinical samples and performs as a phlebotomist as needed. Promotes a positive friendly image to patients, visitors and other hospital personnel.

Required:

Satisfactory completion of respective discipline while enrolled in an MT Program at an approved college/university.
This includes both the didactic and clinical rotation.
