    JOB SUMMARY

    The primary responsibility of the Regional Senior Director of Foster Care is to supervise two or more directors, associate directors, and/or supervisors, as well as their staff and areas of oversight in different foster care programs within an assigned region. This person should have a hunger and drive to see the assigned region grow by achieving and maintaining foster care goals for caseloads, new homes, and capacity. This is accomplished through successful, quality recruitment and retention efforts, and wise placement matching. This position requires travel.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

    • Achieve and maintain Foster Care capacity goals within region through recruitment, licensing, and placing with foster families.
    • Ensure compliance with all contract requirements with providers and work with the Executive Director to explore and develop contracts or funding for the region's foster care services.
    • Ensure that every child placed in a One More Child foster home for 30 days or more has a documented exposure to the Gospel.
    • Ensure program and staff compliance with all governing Licensing standards, both internal and external.
    • Develop and implement an in-service training program that includes live, virtual, and online training opportunities for all licensed foster families in the region.
    • Produce and submit accurate monthly invoices and oversee the collection of all available third-party payments and client fees in the region.
    • Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with community agencies and other referral and funding sources.
    • Plan, monitor and evaluate the annual budget and monthly expenditures of the foster care programs in region, ensuring that program expenditures remain within the budgeted allocations and that budgeted income is billed and received.
    • Participate in continuing education opportunities, including agency in-service training, professional seminars, workshops, and conferences.
    • Ensure that all training requirements for certification, as well as those required by OMC, statutes and administrative codes, and the local CBC are fulfilled annually.
    • Represent OMC at regional events and internal meetings, including outside of office hours and on weekends.
    • Travel throughout the assigned region is required, including a minimum of quarterly visits to the region's offices.
    • Travel to other areas within OMC's footprint is expected, but not limited to, 3 – 6 times per year for training and leadership planning purposes.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and supervise reporting directors, associate directors, or supervisors in the region.
    • Provide oversight to hiring and supervision of all foster care staff within the region.
    • Ensure supervised programs achieve assigned agency goals.
    • Develop and implement an in-service training program for all staff within the departments of oversight, in conjunction with the Executive Director and other agency training programs.
    • Ensure the Foster Care (Licensing) Program in assigned geographical area provides general support for all OMC Foster Families, including 24-hour on-call support, and that the program has 24-hour availability to receive and process placement calls and inquiries.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master's degree in social work or a comparable human service field.
    • Two years of social work experience, with priority given to foster or kinship care.
    • CWLC (Child Welfare Licensing Counselor), CWCM, or CWCPI full certification through the Florida Certification Board is required within 1 year of the successful completion of Pre-Service Training. Continued employment in the role would be contingent on licensing.
    • Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire and a satisfactory driving record.
    • Over 21 years of age in order to drive a company vehicle.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in hiring, supervising, and budgeting is strongly desired.

    COMPENTENCIES

    • Present oneself outside of work in a manner in keeping with One More Child's Core Values of Humble, Hungry, Wise, and Called.
    • Public speaking and presentation skills to effectively represent One More Child and the foster care program at events and engagements.
    • Ability to use and learn new technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and Asana, and applicable internal and external databases.
    • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and able to handle a variety of tasks in order to properly manage caseload, goal requirements, and meet non-negotiable deadlines.
    • Adaptability to prioritize and shift with changing circumstances, handle frequent interruptions and stressful situations, and effectively manage a crisis.
    • Ability to navigate difficult situations with Christ-like professionalism, including with, but not limited to, staff, foster parents, external agencies.
    • Ability to build positive relationships with families, staff, and agencies while maintaining appropriate ethical and professional boundaries.
    • Strong writing, grammatical and punctuation skills for the purpose of effectively documenting casework and communicating with those inside and outside the organization.
    • Good understanding of healthy family dynamics, conflict resolution, problem solving, interpersonal relationship skills and child development.
    • Competent in trauma informed care, including understanding of the impact that trauma has on children/families.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze a situation, determine next steps, and implement them, as well as flexibility to shift with changing circumstances.
    • Ability to assess the needs of foster children and strengths of foster families to determine suitability of referrals and placements.
    • Strong customer services skills with the ability to recognize one's customer and to respond accordingly.
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    These physical requirements are not exhaustive, and One More Child may add additional job-related physical demands to these if the need arises. Corrective devices may be used to meet these physical requirements.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands to grasp and complete clerical duties, which include, but are not limited to filing, typing, and data entry. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to drive/operate a motor vehicle.

    This job requires the ability to work in stressful conditions from time to time and remain focused for extended periods of time. The ability to lift up to 30 pounds (boxes, documents, and equipment).

    Job functions are performed in a variety of settings, including office environments, public settings (churches/conference centers/etc.) and private settings (e.g., the homes of foster families/prospective foster families/etc.). Office locations and situations vary throughout the state. The position requires considerable flexibility in scheduling and possible travel throughout the region. Work schedules include the routine need for availability to complete after-hours work (e.g., evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.) as part of the regular work schedule.
